Unfortuneately, I lost all entries prior to the ones displayed.  A third party site that hosted the guestbook stopped supporting it.  Only the last few entries were preserved.  The guestbook now resides here.

My name is Jane Kihl- Kippley and my dad was wounded on the Marblehead, taken to Java and I think made his way to Australia. I don't think I know the story of how he got there. His name is Tracy Kihl. Can you add some details of that part of the story? Thank you in advance!

Admin reply: It is highly probable that Kihl was evacuated to Fremantle via M.S. Janssens, a Dutch submarine tender.

I say this because of the known: He was not aboard M.S. Abbekerk with Oscar Rudie, not aboard USS Sturgeon with Walt Joyner and Bob Clark and not aboard Pecos which was sunk.
